Join us for the September Art Walk with over a dozen venues featuring live music, art demos, drink specials, tasty eats and more! Explore our unique array of shops, galleries, landmarks and murals on a self-guided walking tour.

Tonight’s theme is “State Fair” and we’ll be celebrating with a FREE block party on the 400 block of S. Clinton Street (near Snake Hill) with fun food, games, art and more!

FEATURING TWO EVENTS IN SEPT!
1. The Photovoice Exhibition Opening Reception 5-8PM
This summer, in partnership with the the Pisces Foundation, Blue Water Baltimore hosted a three-part Photovoice workshop series in Highlandtown.  The work created by four Highlandtown residents during the workshops will be on display Come to the art opening, view their work, and meet the artists!
Photovoice is an internationally used, grassroots research method that enables a community to identify, represent, and enhance their environment through an artistic process. It uses photography and storytelling to furnish evidence and promote an effective means of sharing resident expertise to influence public policy. Through photography, everyone has the opportunity to tell their own story.

2. Guerrilla Theatre Presents: The State Fair Puppet Petting Zoo
Featuring a puppet petting zoo featuring Jess Rassp & Paradiso Puppets and a a create your own puppets station.

Highlandtown Art Walk Writer-in-Residence
The writer-in-residence for July, August & September 2019 is Jessica Gregg.

Jessica Gregg is the editor of Baltimore Style magazine and also oversees Baltimore’s Child and Washington Family magazines. She is a Baltimore booster, proud rowhouse dweller, the mother of two teenagers, and an avid poetry reader. Her poetry collection “News from this Lonesome City” will be published this year by Finishing Line Press.
